Loading 3D tiled models in QGis
« on: April 03, 2022, 05:53:55 AM »
Hello community,

we have a project where we will create a Tiled 3d model over some 35 km2 at 10 cm resolution. Does anyone know if any of the export tiled model formats can be loaded into QGis (Cesium, Agisoft, Open scene graph,...).

Any input will be very welcome!

QGIS does not support any tiled mesh format and will not in the foreseeable future, it is based on Qt 5/Qt 3D which have a limited support of gltf and 3d features required for efficiently display these dataset. The only 3D tileset supported is point cloud since 3.18 with the tiled formats EPT, LAZ COPC will be supported in 3.26.
