How to import TLS files - Agisoft Viewer

I apologize for being a "rookie" ... but it is/was my understanding that the "free" Agisoft Viewer could be used to import and view TLS, OBJ and other files exported from Agisoft Metashape.
When I installed the independent Agisoft Viewer on a Windows PC and attempted to open a file, it only presents me with two file type options:
*.vpz
*.3dv

What am I doing wrong?  Thanks and regards ...

Instead of File->Open use File->Add Layer
