Camera Calibration
« on: April 15, 2022, 12:30:48 AM »
Hi
I'm using 1.8.2 build 14127 (64bit) and carried out a calibration using 24 images of the side of a feature rich structure at a constant principal distance (12 image landscape / 12 image portrait). I run the align photos, filter the sparse data and optimise. When i look in the camera calibration dialog where it would previously show 1 group of images it now shows 2 groups. The adjusted calibration values are different for each these new groups. I have tried to merge the groups but it says they cannot be merged as the groups of images have different resolutions.

I am assuming this is a bug as this worked (from recollection) with the previous version. For the time I will roll back to 1.8.1 or find another tool to generate the calibration parameters.

Thanks

Update: So it seems as though the process of converting ARW (Sony Raw) to TIFF using Classic Lightroom modifies the metadata and removes the orientation entry. I've used the Viewer from Sonys Imaging Edge to convert to TIFF and theres no issue now.
