Project file (PSX) for big work
« on: May 27, 2022, 08:03:58 AM »
We are planning to create a very wide range of ortho-mosaic.
(The total size of the input TIFF is 80-100 TB).

When we save a "* .psx" file, a "* .files" structured archive is automatically created in the same folder, so we have no control over where it is saved.
Creating ortho will increase the size of the "* .files" and it will no longer fit on one drive.

Is it possible to split a "*.files" structured archive across multiple drive storage locations?

Hello hij,

.files folder corresponding to PSX file is always created in the same directory with the PSX file itself and it is not possible to have the same project files saved across multiple locations.

To reduce the project size you may consider removing key points (do not mix with the tie points), depth maps, cropping mesh and dense cloud (use Compact Dense Cloud, if you have removed any points from the dense cloud), removing orthorectified images, unless you require to apply any patching manually.
