Metashape using the most of Apple Silicon (M1 Max, M2)
« on: August 10, 2022, 09:04:33 AM »
Hi,

I saw in another post that the Agisoft team is working on a ”GPU-supported texture blending on macOS” adapted to the new Apple silicon M1, M2 Max, Ultra chips. https://www.agisoft.com/forum/index.php?topic=3559.0

Now, I wonder what other improvements are coming to Metashape for Mac
owners. Is there room for improvement in the mesh generation? For example, could Metashape use the Neural engine cores to make calculation times ridiculously short? I’m curious to see what’s in the roadmap.

Going a little bit further, would be one day able to create a roughness or metallic map automatically?

Keep up the great work guys!
