FBX Failed

I have exported a few formats and the client says they cant import them and asked for an FBX file so the others including 3ds all export no problem but the FBX fails every time with the standard settings.

Is there a reason for this i can fix?

Can you please specify FBX export parameters used, number of polygons in the exported model and the error message (if any) that is observed on export?
