How to retrieve the affine transformations used for resampling scanned photos

For historical photos with fiducial marks, the fiducial marks are used to resample (crop and rescale) the photos so that the ones taken by the same camera would represent the same geometry. How can we then retrieve the transformation parameters (I believe should be an affine one per photo)?
