smoothing out merged dense clouds where 2 point clouds meet

I'm in the process of merging a number of flights taken over a few days.



In order to get a complete model the flights overlapped.



Is there a way to "smooth out" or classify the point clouds so when they are merged you dont duplicate the cloud where they overlap? I'm currently manually cutting the points out of 1 cloud so there is no overlap when they are merged.

ie - where the 2 dense clouds meet, i dont want duplicate points from another cloud.
