Rotating Object

Has anyone tried taking photos of an object while it rotates on a platform? and if so, how was the masking done? as the background remains static.

Hello srishti,

If the camera position and settings are the same for the whole dataset you can take one additional picture of the background (without the object) and use if for automatic masking: Tools Menu -> Import Masks -> From background.

Hi Alexey,

I tried to upload the images without the object in the scene, but do not see Photoscan to load. Even saving a photo in .png format.

Is there something else to do?

Hello jeancampos,

Could you please send single original image and background image to support@agisoft.ru?

Dear Alexey,

I am trying to Import Mask 'From'Background'.

my object is on a turn table, the back ground remains the same during the entire capture.

I shot an image of the stage and background 'With Out' the object.

When prompted by PhotoScan Pro, Menu > Tools > Import > Import Masks > I select Active Chunk & 'From Background' ...

the next 'field' asks me for a 'file name'

Can you please clarify, is the 'file name' field asking for the 'blank' background image? The image without the object?

Thanks for all your help.
marlin.

Hello Marlin,

Yes, if you have only single camera position for the whole dataset you can use single background image and specify its' filename in the mentioned input field, then just point to the folder it's present in.
