MakeItAccurate PPK Workflow with Checkpoint Error
« on: December 02, 2022, 09:09:21 AM »
We are working on a project using the MakeItAccurate and Agisoft workflow. We attempt to perform the PPK workflow using a DJI M300 with the P1 payload. After applying the PPK corrections from MakeItAccurate, we build our project through to the ortho. After building the ortho, we add three checkpoints which are all off by roughly 2 meters. The checkpoints are gathered using an EOS Arrow100 (rated to 60cm).

Our initial issue is that MakeItAccurate limits our PPK corrections to ITRF2014 and NAD83 (2011). Based on the documentation linked above, we were expecting to be able to export our corrections in WGS84. We want to have our corrections in WGS84 because that is the coordinate system our checkpoints are in.

Should we expect an error of 2m if our PPK corrections are in ITRF2014 and our checkpoints are in WGS84? Additionally, we get a transformation error when we designate our project and camera coordinate system to ITRF2014 and makers to WGS84.

This is the first attempt at this specific workflow, and any input/advice would be greatly appreciated.
