Laserscan Mesh/Tiled Model with Texture
« on: March 08, 2023, 04:45:24 PM »

we are trying to process some laserscan data (structured laserscan data) using the newest iteration of Metashape.
While the model creation seemed to work, we were not able to create the textures, neither for the simple mesh nor for the tiled model.
We are not using any additional photos, just the laserscan data which includes the RGB image + depth map.

It is urgent and help is super appreciated!  :)

Best regards, Kreshi

EDIT: Sorry I think the question should be put to the general forum by a mod - looks like I posted it in the bug reports by mistake.

EDIT 2: With the latest 2.0.1 version it worked! Just one thing though: For laserscan projects, the mosaic method for texturing works very bad - even average works better. For tiled model generation this setting has been disabled which complicates our workflows now.. For laserscanning we recommend Agisoft to write a new blending method more specialized for spherical-projections which values distance to the projection-sphere more than it currently does.

Hello Kreshnik,

Can you please check, if Mosaic texture blending for laser scan data processing is resolved in Metashape 2.0.2 pre-release:
