Estimated Coordinates
« on: March 23, 2023, 02:49:42 PM »
Hi Dears,
I have taken consecutive images of a wide area from fixed ground stations (4 stations), like panoramic images. About 14 images from each station.
In this area, I have 7 points whose coordinates are precisely known to me.
Now I have imported the images into Agisoft, I have imported the text file of coordinates of 7 points into the software, and I have selected 4 points as control points and 3 points as checkpoints, and I have marked them on all the images.
After aligning the images, the control point error is 2 cm and the checkpoint error is 5 cm, which is acceptable for our work.
But in my area, I have 15 points that I need to get their coordinates.
By marking these points on the images, their error is about meters!!!!
- My first question is, where can this error come from?
- My second question is about the estimated coordinates in the reference section. How accurate and reliable are these coordinates?
- What is the difference between estimated coordinates and original coordinates (X, Y, Z  and  X_est, Y_est, Z_est)?
- Is it possible to output the estimated coordinates and introduce them as the obtained coordinates for those 15 points?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.
