Drapping orthophoto in Agisoft (without oriented pictures)
« on: March 31, 2023, 03:51:42 PM »
Hello
I'm trying to drap an orthophoto (for example Sentinel) on a mesh. The mesh is an OBJ file, calculated for example from a LiDAR point cloud with another software.
Is it possible to create the texture directly in Agisoft, even if I just have an orthophoto as input data and not an oriented picture?
Thank you in advance for your answer.
Kind regards

Hi All,

Just bumping this up.

Can this be done in Metshape?

I too have project with no photos but a aerial lidar point cloud and a ortho of the site that was captured when the lidar was captured.

I have created a mesh from the point cloud. I want to now build a texture but Metashape (v2.0.2) won't - error message is "no aligned images" .  This makes sense as their are no images in the project.

Is there anyway to get Metashape to use the ortho to texture the mesh?

Thanks
Ben
