Model using my x coordinates as z coordinates

I am using a local coordinate system. I have markers with manually entered coordinates. For some reason, the model is using my x coordinates as z coordinates and vice versa even though they are entered correctly in the reference pane. This is resulting in my model having and incorrect orientation, which means I cannot extract a DEM. Anybody experience this before?

can you please post here the coordinates of all markers with know coordinates (just XYZ values)?
