Question: extracting coordinates for a point
« on: September 17, 2013, 12:09:20 PM »
A quick question from a relative beginner. Once I've produced a georeferenced model (using GCPs), is there a way of querying the model to extract co-ordinates of particular points or features?

Thanks

You have to export the results for use in GIS/CAD packages etc to be able to extract info.

Photoscan 'basically' just gets the data ready for use on other software down the line.

Thanks, that's what I suspected but hoped there was another way. I may suggest this for future functionality, as it can help in the georeferencing of high resolution models, which are subsections of a larger low resolution model.

Hello smicklethwaite,

You can place the marker in the point of interest and, leaving it unchecked in the Ground Control pane, find it's estimated coordintes in the corresponding tab on the pane.
