NVIDIA OpenGL Driverr Error
« on: September 16, 2013, 04:33:55 PM »
Hi,

I have an MSI GeForce GTX 680 and Photoscan seemes to have some problems to use the GPUs of the card.
Sometimes it works, and sometimes no.
And I have a error message :

NVIDIA OpenGL Driver
The Nvidia OpenGL drived detected a problem with the display driver and is unable to continue. The application must close.
Error code : 3
Would you like to visit http://www.nvidia.com/page/support.html for help?

Is there anyone else who had this problem and solved it?
Thanks a lot.

Hello Alexei,

thanks for your answer.
I have the last drivers (320.49) but I still have this problem.
Sometimes Photoscan uses GPU, sometimes not, and the difference in time calculating is amazing.
If I call the task manager, Photoscan crashes.
I think you're true, it's a problem of driver. Nvidia already had this type of problem with Photoshop.
I also read on forums this bug sometimes come when you have at least 32Gb of RAM.
Do you know if anyone else has this problem with Nvidia GeForce + 32Gb ?
Thanks.

Joss, this type of problem is present over 2 years ( have 560Ti ) and its something that could not be resolved, its just disappear aftr some time. try instal ALL new drivers, for MoBo, GPU and etc. and search if you MoBo has newest BIOS. it seems that its related to power management ( in short ) ad canot be easy controlled.... if need assistance let me know...

Thanks Wishgranter,

I've formated my hard disk, re-installed all and it works.
Windows Update installed the 311.06 Nvidia drivers and it seems to work perfectly.
Hope it'll help.
