General workflow queries

Hello all,

We have a couple of (noob) workflow questions we’d like some input on, if possible.

1.   When wanting to check the accuracy of the point cloud, do we refer to the error value of the control points, or the checkpoints?

2.   Are checkpoints a requirement, in order to prove the accuracy of the point cloud?

3.   Is the following the correct workflow
-   Once the sparse cloud has processed > add the control points
-   When happy with the control points > process the point cloud
-   Once the point cloud has generated with all the control points turned on > switch some off to create checkpoints
-   Click update transform (not optimise cameras) to view the error values

4.   If the required accuracies of the point cloud are not satisfactory after following the steps in above, is it advisable to revisit the control points and add/edit/remove markers to try and improve the accuracy?

5.   If we do add/edit/remove markers following poor accuracy, do we then need to reprocess the point cloud from the beginning, or will clicking ‘update transform’ be sufficient to update the model?

6.   If the required accuracies are satisfactory and we want to create a DEM and Orthomosaic, do we need to turn the checkpoints back into control points or leave them as checkpoints (does this even have any affect on DEM/ortho)?
