Hi,
My current Metashape workstation uses a RTX 3090 which has 24g of Vram.
I process scans ranging from 400 to 900 images (around 50mpx per image) On ultrahigh depth map mesh making. (texture making is done on CPU due to texture resolution)
I plan on changing the GPU because i need the RTX 3090 in a different system, when looking at new GPUs, i see that the RTX 4070TI is around the same performance as the 3090, but has 12gb of Vram, which is much lower then my current 3090 24gb. I never had any issues with the 24gb of the 3090 being not enough for anything in Metashape, so my question is will the 12gb of vram from the 4070TI be enough to process scans on Ultrahigh?
Is Vram used a lot in the mesh making progress or align process (matching), will 12gb of Vram be more than enough, or do you think this will be a mistake and i will run into trouble?
Really hope somebody can tell some more about how Vram is used in the process.
Thank you,
