Not using all images when aligning photos?
« on: October 23, 2016, 12:30:04 PM »
Im having a little issue with Photo scan. I am relatively new to all this and are attempting to create a 3D and 2D map of our orchard. However, photo scan does not seem to want to include some of the photos into the model. Is there anyway to fix this please?
All photos have GPS locations and are all taken by a phantom 3 on a dronedeploy mission
Attached are screenshots of my issues i am having

Hello cjkbarnett,

You can try using Align Selected Cameras option from the Workspace context menu after selecting all the NA cameras.
But the issue may be related to the lack of overlap in the given area.

Hi, cheers for the quick reply!
I have tried re aligning the photos that wont align, but they still don't. there is plenty of overlap (70%), so i don't think that should be an issue  :-\

Hello cjkbarnett,

Which parameters are you using for the alignment?

Also I can suggest to try aligning the smaller sub-set of images in another chunk (about 20-30 photos, that include NA images and some photos around them) with the same parameters and with disabled preselection to see if the cameras can be aligned.
