DEM and Orthomosaic from Imported .LAS point cloud

Hi, I am trying to produce the DEM and Orthomosaic from a point cloud which I have directly imported into AGISOFT, in .LAS format.

If I import DJI images and do all the workflow it works well, and I can produce the dense cloud, DEM and Orthomosaic. But when I don´t have the Images and import a dense point cloud already done, I´m not able to produce the DEM and Orthomosaic from the dense cloud imported, even if it was produced in AGISOFT. When I try, I get the message: " DEM EMPTY", and the Orthomosaic tool is not activated.

Does anyone could help me with this ?

Hello Bruno,

after importing the dense point cloud from the external source, please make sure that the bounding box is including all the imported point in the area of interest. Providing that the dense cloud used as a source for the DEM generation is inside the bounding box, you should be able to generate the DEM from it.

Note that if you do not have any aligned cameras for the area of interest you should use Extrapolated option in the Build DEM dialog instead of Enabled (default) option.

I was using the "Enabled (default) option" in the Build DEM dialog instead of "Extrapolated". Now it worked perfectly.

About the Orhomosaic build tool, it remains disactivated. Without the images (importing the dense point cloud from the external source) is not possible to build it?

Hello Bruno,

Orthomosaic in the current Metashape version can be only generated using the images (providing that there are aligned cameras in the project).
