Crash on align points in high mode
« on: December 09, 2023, 08:18:51 AM »
Metashape and MetaShape Pro crash at the start of the align points phase.
Works for "medium" but fails for "high".
I've processed much larger projects than this in the past, this only has 135 photos from a 100MPixel camera.
Logs for medium and high are attached, and I sent in the crashlog.

From the log you are processing on the Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630 that's the integrated GPU and you may run low on memory because the memory is shared with the system.
Are you using the computer for other things while processing?

Hello Paul,

I agree with tazzo that the problem is related to the utilization of integrated Intel UHD graphic card for the processing.

You can try to install the latest Intel driver for your CPU and UHD Graphics 630 and check, if it helps. Also after the driver update you can check, if the processing works, when "use CPU" option is disabled in the GPU Preferences tab.

But usually it is much better both in terms of processing performance and stability to use discrete GPU for the processing.
