Pointcloud (land surface) always twisted
« on: December 19, 2023, 06:12:36 PM »
Hi there,

since a while, whenever I calculate orthophotos, the pointcloud is always twisted with huge errors and thus the outcome is always useless unless I use GCPs and set them by hand. When a friend calculates the same data at his computer, the initial pointclout and thus the orthophoto fits always very well using exact the same parameters and input data (single images and added coordinate list).

What is wrong with my Metashape?

Thanks and kind regards
Andreas

Hello Andreas,

Is it a linear flight?

Does it help, if you enable loading camera orientation angles from the image meta data (option in the Advanced Preferences tab) and checking on camera angles in the Reference pane after alignment and then pressing Update button on the pane's toolbar.

Thanks for your reply Alexey,

but no, nothing changes.  Actually the allignment itselfs looks pretty good, but twisted. Yes, it is a linear flight, but I´ve never had this problem until this year.

Kind regards
Andreas

Hello Andreas,

Can you send the project copy in PSZ format with tie points and aligned cameras to support@agisoft.com?
