Hi dear Agisoft,
Especially for those of you who mantain cloud...
I don't know how to express my anger right now after i figure out that my whole download which was interrupted by me yesterday now starts again.
I see that my whole dense point cloud was deleted after I choose psx file of project, which stored materials on-line.
Don't know why it can't store on my pc then again check if there's these files available into my PC, I mean there was whole dense point cloud downloaded, only depth maps missing....
Now, today i mean, there's no dense point cloud....and total waste of my time cause It seems that it's "all restarted" from beginning...even part of that stored on my pc.
It's problem for me cause I'm using mobile network, and when I figured out that starts again... I got headache man...
Don't know but when uploading then everything is fine, I mean uploading pictures to cloud...and if there's no internet connection or something...images continues from where they stopped - not from same beginning.
Pls explain me this.

Hello,

Starting from version Metashape 2.0.2, the download procedure starts from the place where it was interrupted, and already fully downloaded files are not redownloaded.

However, and this is what may confuse you, although the size of the files left to download is displayed in the download window taking into account the files already downloaded, the progress indicator always starts at 0%, regardless of whether any data has already been downloaded.

Should you have any further questions please contact us here, or submit a support ticket: https://agisoft.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new

Hi Ilya,
Sorry for delay.
I did not knew, I mean I skipped somehow your message on this forum and I don't know how.

I'm interested in part of your message, you wrote this:

I'm having version 1.8.5, so I don't know if that reason why it starts from 0%? I did not quite understand from your words: "files already downloaded, the progress indicator always starts at 0%, regardless of whether any data has already been downloaded." Does this mean that my version works as 2.0.2 but when cancel downloading
let's say at 3%, then again - when I open same psx file - actually it starts from 3% even it 'says' that is 0% at beginning (on progress bar).

Also, how to verify if something is really downloaded locally into files structures? Is it enough to check used storage space for each folder related to psx file, or if it automatically deletes everything when downloading did not fully finished?

Please clarify more what you wanted to say/wrote. Hope that I did understand that, but I would like to get confirmation about it.
Also, I hope that I was clear enough to you.

Best regards !
J.K.

Hello,

First please update Metashape up to the latest release version (2.0.3) . It is completely free and it will significantly improve your experience. In Metashape 2.0 a new upload / download protocol is implemented, which is more stable and what is crucial - handles upload / download interruptions, while in 1.8.5. download always starts from scratch in case of interruptions.

Regarding how the progress is displayed in a download window, let's say you have a 50GB project, you download 25 GB of it and then cancel the download.  Next time you open the project you will see that 25GB are remaining to download, but in the progress bar you will see 0%.
