Exporting a Georeferenced Model
« on: February 12, 2024, 08:59:04 PM »
Hello everyone,  I was wondering if someone could help me with a problem I am having when exporting my georeferenced 3D model (.obj).

I have a model built based on photogrammetry. I georeferenced it using markers and WGS84 as a coordinate system. When I checked in Metashape with the Basemap the model is properly located (I am attaching the picture). However, when I try to export the Model and I specify the Coordinate System for the exported model as WGS84, the resulting model is deformed, most of the time, it is a flat line. I tried using UTM coordinates and the model looks nice but it is located in another area of the world.

Does someone else have had the same problem? any suggestions?

Thank you

Maybe you have chosen wrong UTM zone?

You can use the following interactive map to get proper UTM zone number based on location:
