Is the AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7995WX (96 Cores | 192 Threads | 5.1GHz Boost) a good choice for the CPU to process large datasets??

No, just get a 13900k(s) or a 14900K(s) and 192gb of ram. Thats the fastest hardware for metashape.

Hello,

I would not recommend i9-13900 and i9-14900 series, as many Metashape users have problems with them, see the discussion thread here:

Some managed to resolve the issues, by tweaking the hardware settings, but personally I wouldn't recommend to get them, in order to avoid all the hassle.

So for Intel CPUs, i9-14700 could be an option, and for AMD some fast Threadripper would be also good, but I think it is not required to get more than 48-64 physical cores.
