calibration in each photo?
« on: April 26, 2024, 11:17:54 AM »
Hi
I have 4 camera calibration groups (different settings so one group per setting) and calibrate each group separately. Is camera calibration stored into each photo so I can merge all photos to one chunk  and have them aligned together again?  or is original calibration lost?

Hello hanscastrop1,

during alignment/optimization Metashape calculates/adjusts interior orientation parameters. Set of parameters is stored per group in Tools Menu -> Camera Calibration dialog. So if you have sets of images taken by different cameras or in different conditions, it is strongly recommended to split the calibration groups for such subsets.

So you can have images captured by different cameras in the same chunk and be processed together, but the calibration groups should be split accordingly prior to the alignment step.
