Hi everyone,
for a project we captured images of a building which was also captured using a laserscan, so we can get a complete dataset of the whole building.
But i cant seem to get a good alignment (for surveying standards, around 4cm RMS with 20 points measured with total station) with the images alone, probably because there were some trees in the way and the facade itself has very little detail to use as feature points.
Is it possible to use metashapes functionality with laser scans to align the images to an e57 cloud of the building, so that the weak alignment on images alone can be somewhat compensated?
If so, what would be the workflow for that? Would it be better to use pre-registered single scan positions or a merged pointcloud of the building?
Thanks in advance for any ideas!
Niklas
