Kernel error during photo alignment
« on: June 30, 2024, 11:25:42 PM »
I have gotten the following error 3 times now when trying to Align Photos (see screenshot and console file attached): Error: Kernel matchBruteForceTiled_Hamming: clWaitForEvents(1, &ev): CL_UNKNOWN_ERROR_CODE_-14 (-14) at line 700

Each time I get the error, the process is at 50% completion. This is a dataset of 3708 photos that I have aligned successfully in the past, although with slightly different settings (Medium accuracy, Sequential reference preselection - this time I'm not using reference preselection).

I have tried closing and reopening the project, updating Metashape to the most recent version (2.1.2), and restarting my machine, all to no avail.

Edit: Also tried updating graphics card driver - that didn't work, and I got the same error.

Edit 2: When I immediately try re-running Align Photos after getting the first error, I get a second error (Error: Kernel convert_rgb2gray_uchar_float: clFlush(queue()): CL_OUT_OF_RESOURCES (-5) at line 699) very shortly after starting processing.

Any suggestions?

Turns out I had both my video cards selected (one integrated, one discrete). Deselecting the integrated video card solved this issue.
