Export Model - Clip to Boundary Shapes Overlap
« on: August 06, 2024, 03:54:38 PM »
I am exporting a model and enabling clip to boundary shapes. Due to the large scale of the object, I have several overlapping shapes to cover the area of interest. However, the exported object is divided where the shapes overlap. I would expect the overlap area to be additive, but it appears to be subtractive. Is there a way to combine multiple shapes into a single shape or is this indeed unintended functionality?

Hello LRP,

Currently it is an expected behavior for the overlapping boundary shapes. Even number of overlapping shapes in the point is considered as not-related to the export area, odd number of overlapping shapes - area to be exported (if speaking of outer boundaries only).

In the version 2.2.0 the behavior would be changed and the areas will be exported, if covered by at least one boundary shape.
