Solar sensor, reflectance and albedo
« on: August 26, 2024, 06:47:08 PM »
We have a MicaSense camera, which allows us to collect 5 band (R, G, B, RE, NIR) reflectances. As noted, no solar sensor was used. In this circumstance, is it possible to compute albedo with the 5 band reflectances? If solar sensor is the restriction for doing so, is there anyway to compensate? We do have panel reflectance photos.

Hello hsiehhs7,

If you have the reflectance panel images, you should follow the reflectance calibration process based on the calibration images only and have the "sun sensor" option disabled.
