matching and resampling algorithms in Metashape.
« on: October 09, 2024, 03:08:57 PM »
Hello all,

I am getting more and more confident with Metashape for processing historical aerial photos. As I work in mountain areas with high optical saturation on snow and ice areas, these features often lack any tie points after photo alignment. While this is not surprising to me, I was wondering what matching algorithm does Metashape use to find homologous points (SGM, GM). I was not able to find any information on this.
Also, when exporting ortho products to e.g. tiff files, One can change the output spatial resolution, but there are no resampling options available (e.g nearest neighbor, spline, cubic) to customize the final pixel or cell size. Again, what does Metashape use as the default resampling algorithm?

Thanks in advance to those who can help me with the issue.
