Orthomosaic missalignement
« on: November 21, 2024, 04:52:32 PM »
Hi,

I have a serious problem with the huge job that consists of 50.000 61Mpix photos. Alignment has been done with the Lowest setting and only 4000 Key and Tie points. Since I had a problem with my GNSS for that procedure I've used 150 CP's. It took 3 days to finish it resulting in 10.000.000 points in sparse cloud which was managable. The problem appeared in Orthomosaic with some misaligned lines on the roads that I couldn't patch.
Is there some simple procedure to align those unpatchable parts?

Best regards,
Darko

Looks like poor alignment.

Yes, you must be right. The only problem is that it takes days for alignment and that's why I have chosen the lowest setup. I'll redo it again and wait for a week and see the results. Do you have any suggestions for the alignment setup?
Since I have estimated coordinates for my cameras that are somewhat good, what do you think about including those coordinates in the alignment process? The first alignment was done without camera coordinates, just GCP's.

Best, Darko

Absolutely use the Corrected coordinates of the images when you run the alignment, it will speed it up many times.
