Export point cloud with scales
« on: December 11, 2024, 11:15:14 AM »
Hello, I am trying to export point clouds files in order to create the mesh in phyton and further calculate measures like volume, surface area. I have incorporated measures of diameter and height to my objects, using marks and setting the scales manually. How can I export the point cloud files that retain such manual scales and marks?

Why not use coordinate space? They have known values.

Hello camigonzalez,

You can export creates shapes used to measure certain distances, areas or volumes to separate vector format file. But it may be better to apply proper scale to the chunk, as olihar mentioned above, in order to have the exported point cloud already scaled to the real dimensions.

Hi, I did not apply coordinates to my data. I have measurements (i.e., maximum diameter and heights) of the objects that I can incorporate on the 3d model. I am not sure how to incorporate coordinate points if I did not do this during the photo adquisition.
