Problem importing point cloud in xyz or csv format
« on: January 15, 2025, 08:27:29 AM »
Hi all,

I am importing a point cloud in xyz format into Metashape and I get a  weird result. The imported point cloud shows an elevation scale of -133 m to -3200 m while the xyz elevation values are in the 100 m range.

Few lines from input xyz file:
Code: [Select]
225639.763 262538.129 109.968
224216.150 262519.089 109.957
222792.533 262500.436 109.945
221368.912 262482.171 109.933
219945.288 262464.294 109.922
218521.661 262446.804 109.91
217098.031 262429.702 109.898
215674.398 262412.988 109.886
214250.761 262396.661 109.874
212827.122 262380.722 109.863
211403.479 262365.170 109.851
209979.834 262350.007 109.839
208556.186 262335.230 109.827
207132.536 262320.842 109.815
205708.883 262306.841 109.804
204285.227 262293.228 109.792

With this behavior, it is impossible to generate a DEM from cloud as option is greyed out....

Any solution?

Note same behavior with csv or other txt files.. and also LAS/LAZ.
