Manually inputting georeferencing data
« on: January 16, 2025, 08:10:07 PM »
Hello,

I am working on a project that involves aligning multiple drone flights very closely within the same coordinate space. To do this, I am using GCPs. However, the team that took the drone images did not record the location of the GCPs, so I have no .txt file to upload. This is okay, because we do not need the coordinate space to be representative of the real-world location of the GCPs. The Agisoft Metashape user manual says that there is a way to manually input GCP values via the reference panel, but I am not having any luck doing so. Can anybody assist me in finding a video tutorial or explain to me the process?

Thanks

You can add them and then export the estimate value, reimport as real values.

But why are you going to use them if they dont have values, then they serve no purpose anyways.

Hello jacobh17,

How the text file that you have is looking?

If it contains marker labels (as in Metashape project) and XYZ coordinates in each line, separated with the delimiter, then you can just use Import CSV button on the Reference pane toolbar.

In the reference pane you have to double click the cells and then they become editable so you can type values in.
