Howto - Heuristic 3D reconstruction
« on: February 05, 2025, 11:36:23 AM »
Hi,

I am working on a project where the goal is to generate a complete 3D model from an incomplete geometric figure. Let me explain it with an example.

Imagine a broken plate. As an ordinary plate, you know that the figure is a circle, and that all its geometry is based on a well-known model. I mean, if you know the radios, the diameter ... you should be able to reconstruct the entire object based only on a part. (I have attached an example)

- What would be the way to try to abort this from the point of view of metashape?
- Could I try to execute some python script after generating the model with Metashape?
- Anybody knows what python project I can use to try to reconstruct a model from a part?
- Exists any feature in Metashape that could I use?

Any help would be appreciated.
BR,
Francisco

Metashape is not the tool for this.
