So I've got a few issues.
I've got 5 chunks making up a jug. I've cleaned up each chunk model to keep the parts I need.
Problem 1.
When I merge chunks, it gives me a model with wildly varying resolutions where each chunk is represented in the merged model.
I can get round this, by merging everything except the models, and then rebuilding the model from the merged depth maps, this gives me a nice complete model with a regular resolution all over but it feels like an extra step/process that I shouldn't need.
Problem 2.
Each chunk has nice textures, all shot cross polarized, however, when I build the model for the merged chunks and then build the texture, I get these horrible seams.
In the screenshots, you can see the result of problem 1, different resolutions for each chunk when merged.
You can also see the texture (vertex colours) for the individual chunk, and the result after building the texture on the merged chunks model
