Problem with vertical datum
« on: February 19, 2025, 11:22:58 AM »
I have the problem that when I export a tiled model from Metashape with the appropriate coordinate system and import it into the Agisoft Viewer, the vertical datum does not come across correctly.
When checking (coordinate measurement), the Z coordinates are incorrect. However, the position coordinates match.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Hello hudddi,

I think your problem is that your tiled model is in a CS with geoid height and when you import into Viewer this geoid height is lost due to absence of geoid file...so heights are shown as elipsoidal see following topic https://www.agisoft.com/forum/index.php?topic=13775.0

Starting from 2.1.0 version Agisoft Viewer supports coordinate systems with height above geoid, providing that undulation grid is available.

The GeoTIFF file with geoid offsets should be put either to /geoids/ subdirectory in Agisoft Viewer installation folder or to the user's folder:
on Windows: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Agisoft\Viewer\geoids\
on Linux: /home/<user>/.local/share/Agisoft/Viewer/geoids/
on macOS: /User/<user>/Library/Application Support/Agisoft/Viewer/geoids/
