Satellite image processing
« on: March 16, 2025, 09:36:05 PM »
Hi Guys, I'd like if someone can walk me a bit more detailed through the process of processing satellite images in Agisoft Metashape. I have the following items in my folder:

  • BANDA.aux
    BANDF.aux
    BANDA.img
    BANDAF.img
    banda.rrd
    banda.tif.rrf
    bandf.rrd
    BANDA.tif
    BANDF.tif
    BANDA_MET.txt
    BANDA_RPC_ORG.txt
    BANDF_MET.txt
    BANDF_RPC.txt
    BANDF_RPC_ORG.txt

Anyway, I attached here the image in the folder with all the archives.

Now I'd like a step-by-step process of what I should do.

I read the Agisoft-Metashape page about satellite processing, but I couldn“t even load the images.
I installed -or at least I think I did it- GDAL.

Please keep in mind I am new to the satellite processing, I've used agisoft for drone photogrammetry only.

Hello geoadiaz,

What happens when you add both TIF files to Metashape (providing that checkbox related to RPC file is enabled in the Advanced Preferences tab)? Do the calibration groups in the Camera Calibration dialog have RPC type?
Best regards,
