Agisoft Metashape 2.2.0 and RTX 2060
« on: April 01, 2025, 08:56:05 AM »
I have updated repeatedly from v2.1.4 to 2.2.0 but each time I had problems with recognizing the dedicated video card with CUDA. I tried using different versions of drivers (Games/Studio) from Nvidia but without success.
The situation described is on an Asus TUF Gaming A15 Laptop, with AMD processor, updated Windows 10.
As a manifestation: in the settings, when I enter the GPU, Agisoft crashes, if I ignore this and start the image alignment process, in the Log it is seen that it works with the integrated card.
How could I successfully switch to version 2.2.0 on this system?
Thank you!

Hello dancmar,

Can you submit the crash report and add the link to this thread to the comments field, if the Crash Reporter window appears after unexpected Metashape termination?

Additionally please share the starting lines from Metashape console pane shown when you open new application instance.

Hello dancmar,

I suggest to download and install latest AMD driver for the CPU with integrated graphics:
https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html

Also you can try to check via GPU-Z or similar utility if it sees OpenCL and Vulkan both for integrated and discrete graphics.

:) The solution was 100% sufficient.
I share the results of the processes, on the same data set, with the same settings, including those for filtering Tie points.
Overall, version 2.2.0 is faster.
An impressive result is the number of Tie points identified and used, almost double. This increases confidence in photo alignment.
I have thus identified an error in displaying the precision of determining the coordinates.
Thank you!
