I'm doing 3D reconstruction for a bridge. When I align photos for the first time, sometimes half of the images (e.g. the photos towards bridge deck) are not registered or misaligned, which may be due to the insufficient overlap between images above bridge and under bridge. But when I rerun alignment, which means click align cameras again without changing any settings, in most cases the remaining cameras can be then properly aligned. I hope to know the reason of this. If the cameras are not aligned in the first round, which means they don't have good feature matching with other images, why are they registered in the second round without any changing on settings?
