Hello,

In update 2.2.1 build 20502, I can only see 3 decimals for numbers in the reference tab (see attached image). It is annoying for sub mm photogrammetry.
In previous versions, I had much more decimals (like 6 or more), so I could set accuracy of markers and scale bars more precisely.
Is it on purpose ?
How can I display more decimals ?

Thanks !

Hello Rom,

In 2.2.1 update the values in the Reference pane now display 8 decimal digits for lat/lon degrees and 3 decimal digits for linear units. However, if you input more accurate values, they still will be properly stored and considered. When you switch to editing mode by selecting the cell in the Source values tab of the Reference pane and press F2 keyboard key, you will see the full coordinate or distance value.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I see that all the digits are stored in the Source Panel, but I cannot see more than 3 digits for the Error and Estimated Panel.
I think, 4 decimals would be better than 3 for small object or very precise photogrammetry.

Would it be possible to set the number of displayed digits via the preference or via a Tweak ?
Thanks !

Hello Rom,

Estimated values can be either exported to the text file or, as a quicker approach, you can select all the lines in the Estimated values tab of the Reference pane, copy them to clipboard (CTRL+C) and then paste to external text editing application with CTRL+V.

As a possible workaround, I could suggest to use Local Coordinate system with mm units for small objects, but looking on your screenshot it seems that you are working in geographic coordinates.

Hello Alexey,

I thought of this workaround but it makes the process less efficient.
Would you consider adding the possibility to chose the number of displayed decimal (via the preferences or a tweak) ?
I'm not asking for an immediate solution, but something you could implement in a future release.

Thanks !

+1 for defaulting to 4 decimal places and making it configurable.

+1 to this as well, four decimals for geographic coordinates would be much better in many cases, and the best solution would definitely be a user-configurable setting

+1 we are are scanning cultural heritage objects. We use local coordinates, but always use meter units for consistency, but we need an option to change the number of units down to at least 100µm

Please check 2.2.2 pre-release that allows to define the precision for the coordinates displayed in Reference pane and for measurement instruments:
