Colorize point cloud from images

Colorize point cloud from images still doesn’t do anything, Version 2.2.1 build 20496. We are colorizing lidar point clouds as part of other processing, I think colorization stopped working since version 2.1

I have checked this process on a couple of random projects right now and do not see any issues.

If you are trying to apply it to the point cloud imported as laser scan, then you need to right-click on the corresponding laser scan in the Workspace pane and select Process -> Colorize Point Cloud command from the context menu and in the the Colorize Point Cloud dialog enable "replace source point cloud" option, otherwise the duplicated laser scan will appear, which my affect or confuse further workflow steps.

I am doing this as you are saying, lidar point cloud is imported as laser scans with corresponding trajectory, normals are estimated before import, I also tried to import without normals so metashape can run its own  process. After this right click on the laser point cloud, process, colorize from images with replasing or not the results are the same after version 2.1 or I shoud say no result. If I choose to replace point cloud Null asset error pops up. I clolorized hundreds of LiDAR point clouds whithout any problem before version 2.1. I should also mention that colorization works in 2.2 if point cloud is imported as normal poin cloud, not a laser scan.

Thank you for detailed description of the workflow, we have managed to reproduce Null Frame issue for the case of laser scans + trajectory when "replace asset" option is enabled. It will be fixed in the next update.
Meanwhile, as a workaround you can select None in Set Trajectory submenu for the laser scan in the Workspace pane and then run Colorize Point Cloud procedure for it from the laser scan context menu with "replace asset" option enabled, then assign the trajectory back to the laser scan.

However, we are not observing problems with applying point colors from images when "replace asset" option is unchecked, so if you can share any small sample project that can be used for out internal tests, please send the download link to support@agisoft.com.

We have updated 2.2.1 to build 20572, so Null Frame problem should be fixed.
