When MS is Calculating Vertex Colors at the end of the Build Model job, it just 'seems' to hang, as there's no indication of progress.
And with the projects i've recently been processing, it's taken much longer to calculate them, it seems, and with very little CPU usage.  A bug possibly?

So could Calculating Vertex Colors get it's own Progress Bar, i.e. it resets to zero like it does for the other sub-tasks. And/or updating the console with % updates...
E.g.:
10%
20%
30%
etc...

If we're processing 'big' jobs, on crappy hardware, where these things take many hours, days, it's quite unnerving wandering if it's hung!
My 'little' scan of our dive site, 'Manta Point'.  Mantas & divers photoshopped in for scale!

+1 on this - it does seem to be taking way longer to do vertex colors recently. Is there any potential to do this process on the GPU to speed things up? I've found that choosing not to calculate vertex colors when building the mesh, but later executing the command independently from the tools menu speeds things up quite a bit and yields full CPU usage.
