API 1.8.4 and server depreciation date?
« on: July 07, 2025, 11:48:54 AM »
Hello,

I was wondering when the Python API v 1.8.4 and the associated Metashape server will be sunset?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Octave

Hello Octave,

If you have a license activated via 1.x version of Metashape Professional, you can continue using older version of the application (including stand-alone Python module) on that computer.

Thanks for you answer Alexey, just to clarify I'm using a floating license in my company, and I think that in a previous exchange by email someone from Metashape told me that the license server for version 1.x was due to sunset and so I would have to upgrade my pipeline to version 2.x as well as the license server

So I just want to confirm whether that's true and if yes, if there's a planned expiration date

The pipeline is deployed on AWS Batch so I'm not able to register the key manually because it would then get locked if the application crashes

Hello Octave,

Do you mean floating license on the global server? If so, please contact sales@agisoft.com with that question, as the global floating server for 1.x versions is provided by Reprise company.

Maybe it is reasonable to start upgrading your pipeline to 2.2 version API, in such case you can use global floating server hosted by Agisoft.
