What's the python or console command to use the new texture method?

I've tried a lot of things with the new texture, and I have to say, it's really good. Thank you very much for that. Unfortunately, there are often problems with errors, which I would like to address here.

I'm using version 2.2.2, and the GPU Nvidia driver is up to date. After swapping some images in the texture and trying to recalculate the texture, I often (but not always) get the attached error messages.

Is there an explanation for this?

Hello Dieter,

Ideally it would be helpful, if you can share the source project with the aligned cameras and generated model. In case you have laser scans in that project, please also keep them and share the project copy to support@agisoft.com as download link. Probably the project itself will be sufficient even without the source images.

If you also observe similar problems on a smaller project, feel free to share the smaller reproducer-project.

I had more error messages and crashes, all of which pointed to the graphics card. Afterward, I uninstalled the Nvidia graphics driver and reinstalled it with default settings, and the system has been running stably for two days. I think that was the cause of the errors.

Thank you
Dieter

Hello jrulier,

If you have issues with the natural texturing in 2.3.0 pre-release, please share the sample project where the issue can be reproduced.

Hi Alexey. Testing the new "Natural" option and I am pleased so far. I was a bit confused by the advanced Enable out-of-focus filter thinking it would sharpen the texture from my rig photos.

Is there any plan to expand this new natural texturing algorithm to orthomosaic generation rather than just model texturing? Many coral reef researchers do most of their analysis on orthomosaics, not 3d models, and thus would greatly benefit from this...

Hello,
in latest version, you can use Texture as Color Source in Build Orthomosaic dialog... see attached screen capture

Thanks, I was aware of that option and it does work but it extends the processing time quite significantly. It would be amazing if we could use the natural option just with orthomosaicking so we can also specify the output resolution from the get-go! Especially in Caribbean settings where we have a lot of moving soft corals (and fish!), the natural texturing seems like a huge step up from the traditional mosaic blending.
