Hi everyone,
I'm building a 3D model in Metashape Professional 2.1.3 (macOS) and have run into a strange issue with surface orientation:Ran Align Photos → generated tie points (sparse cloud).
Then Build Point Cloud

Problem:
The point cloud  appears inside-out — the outer surface is black, and the texture is projected on the inside. When viewed in Model View, the exterior looks dark, while the interior shows the correct texture. What I’ve tried / observed:Checked Tools > Point Cloud → Invert Point Normals is grayed out.

Questions:How can I flip the normals or correct the inside-out geometry in v2.1.3 (macOS)?

Thanks.

Hello liudx,

Can you please share the screenshot demonstrating the issue?

Additionally please provide the screenshots from Initial and Adjusted values tabs of Camera Calibration dialog.

OK,I have provided the screenshot of this issue. Please see below.

I just noticed that according to the documentation provided by the image supplier, the effective pixel count of the image should be 1008*1018, but in reality, it may not meet this requirement, with 1-2 pixels missing. The software divided the image into 7 groups, and I entered the same pixel size and focal length for each group. The initial values of Camer Calibration onlf have f=25000, the other parameters are 0.Please see the attachment.

Thanks, looking forward to your reply.

Sorry,  I just noticed that it has been updated to version 2.2.2. Could you please check if updating to a newer version might solve this problem?
