Crop existing DEM with outer boundary polygon

I did a search for an answer to this prior to posting but didn't find an answer.

When I generate a DEM from UAS imagery, I often get weird errors on the edges. For example in the attached screenshot there are a number of errors on the north edge of the DEM. I draw a polygon around my DEM and then set it to be an outer boundary.

Either this is operator error, or the function doesn't exist, but I want to then crop my DEM to the outer boundary polygon. This is a standard feature that I could do in my GIS software, but I can't figure out how to do it here. I really want this here to be done within Metashape. I often just want to send a quick screenshot to a customer of colleague to see if the initial results of the DEM and orthomosaic look right to them. I don't want to have to export the data to my GIS program to crop it there at this stage, I will do that later once I have finished all of my processing steps.

After some reading of the user manual and Google search results, it said to regenerate the DEM once the boundary polygon was generated. I did this and it didn't make any difference, the new DEM still has the same anomalies on the north side and nothing was cropped. This also took many hours due to how many images there are. I would really just like to be able to crop the existing DEM.

Am I missing something or is this  not possible?

it is quite easy, after setting up your outer boundary, just select the DEM and in context menu (right click), choose Duplicate... and use option Clip to boundary shapes...
