capturing for dog and baby
« on: March 27, 2014, 03:28:43 PM »

I would like to take 3D modeling,  My little beagle, Dog.
I have 12 Cameras , canon 550D with 18-55 bundle lenz.
She is very happy dog so it is hard to make her stay for a moment.
Because of this reason I have to take whole shot at once.
In this case is it good enough? About my camera number.

In this case is it recommended to has different focal length?

Example 6 cameras are 35mm lenth
The other 6 cameras are 50mm.

oh! one more thing  have you ever heard about faceworx?, software for 2d face into 3d?
is there some software like it for mac?

Sorry for bad English.

Please let me know.

Hello Dannykwon,

To capture the living subject you need to take synchronized photos from the cameras you have, since any changes of the surface shape will result in alignment problems and geometry artifacts.

Also I assume that 12 cameras may not be enough for full body capture, but you can start with face/head capture as a test. Different focal length is not a problem as long as image frame is used effectively.

I?ve also have this kind of system. But I?m using for a whole body scan about 74 cams ;-) with 12 cams, you can ony capture the bust of a person.

Yes , even with 12 cameras, it will need lots of Zbrush® processes to have a good one...
Perhaps you can add some cheap cameras like 1100d ?
