Hello alexb,

If Color correction option is turned on the texture generation could take much longer time.

thanks alexey,
i understand. but it's not turned on. and it's unusually long. I've downgraded version but it seems to not change anything.
What is strange is that it gets to 70% in few minutes then freeze for hours. i'll try to give it the next 8h.
is the numbers of maching points have a direct influence on this?
Is the gpu used here?

Hello alexb,

Could you please provide the log, chunk info data and texturing parameters used? Please also check that the process is not in swap.

yes, how should I do that? the soft freeze... ???
last line in the console:
heap cleanup: 12044980 -> 7787299
packing 45607 charts...

chunk (63 cameras, 95158 points)

texture: generic, mosaic, 8192 x1, no color correction.

Hello alexb,

45607 - it's extremely high nubmer of texture charts, it may be caused by huge number of faces in the model or may be a result of disabled interpolation during mesh generation (former Sharp mode).

Hello alexb,

Nuber of points in sparse point cloud doesn't matter in the texture generation process.
In the log file the number of charts in the texture atlas is still very high, if you open Tools Menu -> View Mesh UVs you can see that the texture atlas is scattered and filled with extremely tiny pieces.

Please provide screenshot of the Chunk Info.

I had also similair case with freeze at 70% with no differences when I decimated mesh inside Agisoft (I left it for all night for calculation without finish - freeze). Import decimated mesh from Zbrush also didn`t help. It was strange becouse if I set up medium mesh size to medium everything was all right but when I set up to high and decimated to similair count of faces it freezed at 70% (when I generated atlas). Maybe I messed up something becouse I`ve done that during the night ;) I`ve found solution for me. I`ve made new UV in Zbrush (AUV tile) and reimported that mesh with UV into Agisoft. In my case worked perfectly. Even without decimation (8K texture). It was my test with that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNQ_tzDvif8&hd=1
Edit: helped me also setting up multiple uv texture in Photoscan (8K x 6). When I set up same mesh to 1x8K its freezing at 70%

I too have the freeze at 70%

I currently have about 60 or 70 cameras active and built the texture at 32768 (1x) with a model with 300,000 faces, colour correction on. It takes a minute or so to get to 70% and then stays there for hours before completing, running at 19% CPU and using very little memory. Is the colour correction matching the various cameras so they blend nicely? (I can't find an explanation of what this is supposed to do).

Is there any way around this (both the "hanging" problem and building a bigger texture map)? I find the final texture is not a high enough resolution.
